Running 1:43:09 [3] 16.0 km (6:27 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 35

From Hill Rd. Kilmister track almost to top of Boulder Hill then back along the main ridge to the airstrip, towards Old Coach Road, down the uphill MTB track.
Glorious day and generally felt OK. Heels not a problem but shoulder got a bit sore at times.

Note

Golf at RW with Alan + 2
Obviously still can't swing properly. Very average golf most of the time but avoided major disasters for once. 99 (34 points).

Cycling 1:00:32 [3] 25.31 km (2:24 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW
Legs felt tired at the start and didn't improve. The hill was a real struggle. Strong southerly as well - actually a bit surprised I wasn't slower.

Running 50:11 [3] 10.0 km (5:01 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

Harriers - Lockwood
Feeling much better tonight as it was about 15 degrees colder than yesterday. No problem at all with the heels after 5 successive days of running, which is a good sign. Shoulder sore after stretching it jumping across a stream.

Running 54:23 [3] 9.0 km (6:03 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

The shorter Cannon Point loop CW, including summit, but from the main car park in Harcourt Park (probably about 6 mins longer than usual.
Main feature of this run was the heat - high 20s. Not too bad up the climb, but struggling later.
Heels a little sore, but fine afterwards.

Running 32:58 [3] 5.5 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 35

On the way back from taking Kieran to the airport, parked at Melling and did the loop I used to do up Harbourview, down via Pokohiwi Rd and back through Jubilee Park. Enjoyable visiting old haunts but lost a bit of time in Jubilee Park having forgotten exactly which turns to take. Had also forgotten the extent of the climb at the end!

Heel sore this morning, and was holding me back a bit on the downhill, but not too bad considering.

Orienteering 55:00 [3] 6.0 km (9:10 / km)
shoes: VJ Falcon

Wellington Training Weekend - Osgiliath
First exercise was a "corridor maze" which was a lot of fun and quite testing. Pretty much in a group so meeting up at most controls and plenty of rests.
Supposed to be doing an exercise in the very young pines on the way back but only did a small bit of it as it was very slow and too warm out in the open.

Orienteering 1:00:02 [1] 7.0 km (8:35 / km)
shoes: VJ Falcon

A middle distance type course in the nicer blocks near the coast, and included a course in "walk" forest as well. That bit was probably the highlight of the weekend. Pines young, but old enough to be semi-runnable, but with very low visibility. Good tricky stuff. The rest was good as well, but easier in the higher visibility, though made a couple of mistakes due to losing concentration as I got tired.
Coped better physically than yesterday, though heels quite sore by the end.
