Sunday Mar 21 #

Cricket 1:00:00 [3]

First day of 2-dayer v Collegians Falconhawke
Hardly involved - just took a catch. They batted 50 overs, all out on the last ball for 118 and we were 148-1 at the end of the day. Glad not to bat as right thigh sore. Tweaked it earlier this week (Tuesday cricket or Wednesday orienteering) and it was grumbly for a couple of days afterwards. Think I did further damage sprinting after a ball today.

Saturday Mar 20 #

Note

Golf at RW with Alan & colleague. 104 (28 points). Enjoyable, but very average - no pars but no lost balls! Short game seems to have disappeared.

Friday Mar 19 #

Cycling 1:14:41 [3]

The longer Whitemans Valley loop CW
Legs a bit tired but tried to keep a decent tempo up as next 2 days likely to bit a bit easy and I'm going to be without the road bike for a few days.

Thursday Mar 18 #

Running 55:30 [3] 10.0 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Air Pegasus 30 Darker blue

Harriers. To KGMP, up the N. steep climb to St Pats Forest and down to the S. entrance, then wading across the river and back.
Generally good, but wish I done the first section a bit slower as the climb was fairly brutal.

Wednesday Mar 17 #

Orienteering race 17:58 [4] 2.5 km (7:11 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 35

CSW Sprint 5 - Vic Uni
As usual good fun, though the detailed bits are just too difficult to read even at 1:4000.
A few hesitations and had to stop to try to read the map in those detailed bits a few times, but generally pretty good and managed to run at a higher intensity than for a while (although there are always bits at Vic Uni where you don't run flat out).

Finally managed to beat all the local kids only to find an Aucklander in front ...

Tuesday Mar 16 #

Cricket 1:55:00 [1]

Nets at Fraser (indoors).

Monday Mar 15 #

Cycling 1:00:30 [3] 25.31 km (2:23 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW
Felt improved enough to tackle the hill and did indeed feel a lot better. Slightly surprised not to break the hour, but the bike is booked in for a service and there was a decent headwind in the valley.
