Exploring trails at Smugglers' Notch w. Nancy. Cold (~ 10 F) but sunny day. Just playing around, had to ski back and forth to keep from freezing. The area's groomer (snow mobile) was broken, but it did not matter: 2 inches of light powder on top of the natural base produced by rain, freezing and snow did not require any grooming. You could ski anywhere: classic, or skate, or tele, on and off trail.
