Over to Surrey and crazy bike trails. Chatted with Joan, so timing on the Garmin was off, had to reestimate. Nice cool evening.

3 PM

Trail running 1:20:51 [3] 8.26 mi (9:47 / mi) +200m 9:06 / mi
shoes: New Balance MT 101 sz 9

Had enough of work, technology snafus (trying to activate smart phones), and multiple advising meetings. Since I had the car, I drove to Longmarsh, and ran the Sweet trail out and back as I have done a few times by now. On the out: took the 2 pt detours around the first beaver pond, on the back I took the Jeff Hill plus loop over the top shortcut. About 5 minutes faster than last time. And I did not have water with me. Temps around 70, breezy, pleasant. Always exhilarating buzzing on the Sweet!

5 PM

Trail running 25:02 [3] 2.7 mi (9:16 / mi) +60m 8:40 / mi
shoes: New Balance MT 101 sz 9

Running home with CW long hill detour. Didn't feel like pushing too hard, so just ran, thinking about other things. Met a couple of neighbor women near Spruce Hole - we chatted about cross country skiing in the winter, and I revealed myself as the local "track setter".

Sunday Aug 27 #

5 PM

Trail running 54:12 [3] 6.0 mi (9:02 / mi) +70m 8:43 / mi
shoes: New Balance MT 101 sz 9

Evening run: Spruce Hole loop to shelter loop to Surrey Bike trails and back via Griffith and our S trail. Ran pretty hard. Did not bring water, and did not need any, temps around 65F. Very pleasant.
