1 PM

Mt Biking 18:00 [2] 4.0 mi (4:30 / mi) +30m 4:24 / mi

Bike to Wiswall Dam, and back an hour later.

Trail running 1:05:00 [3] 6.17 mi (10:32 / mi) +90m 10:05 / mi
shoes: On Cloudflow dark grey

An "in the heat" run around Wiswall and Littlejohn. The logged area has now doubled - I wanted to see it after having endured logging truck traffic for about 3 weeks. Bummer! Such nice woods. Oh well at least the S portion (Littlejohn) has not been touched; and the logging is fairly clean with numerous individual trees left standing, but no brush remaining. Footing is pretty good.

Swimming 12:00 [3] 0.2 mi (59:59 / mi)

Then a dip into the water below the dam. Just gentle swimming. A bunch of kids and youngsters jumping from the bridge.

Trail running 52:00 [2] 4.7 mi (11:04 / mi) +50m 10:43 / mi

Then back home: To F's for mortgage. I encountered over 25 turkeys - about 20 young ones on the trail, which got separated because of my intrusion. then down looping back and forth on the woods section of the Thompson forest to avoid the sunny field. (Hot in the sun, pleasant in the woods! - around 82F). Then a swim, then a jog home via the S causeway trail - grabbing a few handfuls of blueberries on the go.
4 PM

Swimming 13:00 [3] 0.25 mi (52:03 / mi)

Swim in between the run.

Swimming 15:00 [3]

I felt the two days of pavement running in my groin, plus I slept in, so decided to go to the "gym" downstairs. I did a bit of elliptical. I was curious about the various machines which I have never used before, but did not have time to read instructions - so I hit the pool instead and did diagonal laps for a bit.

Then on to breakfast and to another day of meetings.
In the afternoon I "played hooky" biking around town w. N., hitting the arts museum. Then a Jazz dinner concert at the Dazzle.

Road Running 36:10 [3] 4.84 mi (7:28 / mi) +20m 7:23 / mi
shoes: Topo

Repeat of yesterday but a bit earlier. This time I took the bike/running trail up the Cherry Creek and back. After less than a mile, encountered John G., a friend from High School who was bird watching - well trying to - not much activity. We chatted and walked for about 10 minutes. Yet a mile later I saw a large brownish bird flying up the creek pretty close to the water; I did not get a good look of it. Possibly a hawk.

Road Running 38:00 [3] 5.0 mi (7:36 / mi) +15m 7:32 / mi
shoes: Topo

Denver Running. Down Cherry Creek then a bit out Platte River on the (paved) running trail. After a warm-up mile, I settled into a 7 - 7:15 pace / mile. That got me breathing hard after a mile. Still not used to being a mile above sea level.
