Leisurely run to "the bench". Nice and crispy.

A Mini Workout
Miles 2 (pavement) and 4 (dirt road) at tempo - Testing my race fitness for Sunday. The rest at relaxed pace. The cold air feels good!

Cruising the trails at dusk
Nice and crisp - nobody around - just me in the light of my headlamp trotting along.

Trail running 43:42 [3] 5.01 mi (8:43 / mi) +57m 8:25 / mi
shoes: Topo MT3

Blinded by the sun for half the run....
But otherwise refreshed - a relaxed run in cold temperatures == tempo run in the heat.

Road Running 38:51 [3] 5.12 mi (7:35 / mi) +84m 7:13 / mi
shoes: On Cloudflow(red-white)

DPR Mt Vernon loop - It has been a while for me.
Nice to see and run again with friends through the Garrison City.
I had a bit of a quad pain for the first 2.5 miles - must be the switch from the zero-drop Altras to the .....drop On shoes. Also the On shoes are 1.5 numbers bigger following the advice of the seller (Athlete's Foot), but they are starting to feel a bit weird to me.

Orienteering 1:13:48 [2] 3.99 mi (18:30 / mi) +147m 16:36 / mi
spiked:8/14c shoes: VJ Falcon w spikes

Beaver Brook, Red Course
I did not dare to run fast in the complex terrain with poor visibility. I did all the "right" things: setting compass, pace counting and reading the map over and over......Not a clean run but also not an atrocious run.
