Strength & Conditioning (Pilates) 1:00:00 [1]

Going through this afternoon's Baxter-Pilates (c) and adding in full (intermediate) teaser, teaser prep stage 1 (as full teaser was not good) and roll up. I'm not feeling great, but thankfully feeling better afterwards.

Running 32:31 [2] 4.91 km (6:37 / km) +139m 5:48 / km
shoes: Purple Nimbus

Rostrevor parkrun, starting off the long run day.

Running long 2:38:50 intensity: (30:00 @1) + (1:08:50 @2) + (1:00:00 @3) 10.86 km (14:38 / km) +609m 11:26 / km
shoes: Red Mudclaws

'Long hill run' with Taryn, though to be fair most of it was in rough enough stuff and we spent a lot of time walking. Slowly. Good training for MMM though - in that, stick to the trails as much as possible; the grass is high.

Strength & Conditioning (Pilates) 1:00:00 [1]

Doing Joanna's workout again, including slow double leg stretch the right way this time (doh) and adding in all the side-lying stuff that we didn't cover - it does take forever if you do full reps, which you should, because then the glutes burn delightfully. Follow by double leg kick (I did it first, which was incorrect order) for full fun effect.

Running hills 1:00:00 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) + (20:00 @4) 8.2 km (7:19 / km)
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3 (blue)

BARF Training on Cavehill. Perfectly placed & timed for the RAF Tornado fly past at the SSE Arena.
Was firmly at the back again, kept trying though, and heart was AOK.
Discovered an elargey at McArts Fort so she joined us for the swoop downhill, via the white rock which I learned was painted to guide RAF planes during WWII, same as the ones at McArts Fort. Every day's a schoolday.

Strength & Conditioning (Reformer Pilates) 55:00 [1]

With a different girl, Aisling I think her name was. I found this so difficult - had to keep stopping or risk faceplanting in all the plank stuff.
Another few new exercises - pretty confident they are in fact infinite. Spoon. Doesn't sound evil, does it? It is.
5 AM

Running warm up/down 26:41 [2] 4.03 km (6:38 / km) +4m 6:35 / km
shoes: Purple Nimbus

To & from reformer.
Sky starting to brighten on the way there, and sun just about up on the way back.
6 PM

Orienteering 37:44 intensity: (5:00 @2) + (22:44 @3) + (10:00 @4) 5.42 km (6:58 / km) +12m 6:53 / km
shoes: Purple Nimbus

WEE on a new map, Inverary & Tommy Patton park. Nice to be on a new map, plus even a bit of urbany. I had Veda, who wasn't great company tbh - tangly, poo stop, water stop, then full-on brakes-on and I had to return her to assembly. Had a wee speed round the last loop though I was in shorts (like lots of us) so I ran round the nettles.

Took the cellophane off the Intermediate DVD today. Jeepers. Might stick it back on

9 AM

Running warm up/down 22:49 [2] 3.22 km (7:05 / km) +5m 7:02 / km
shoes: Purple Nimbus

Gentle trot to yoga, trying to keep below the sweat threshold. Failed. Really humid out.
10 AM

Strength & Conditioning (Yoga) 1:00:00 [1]

Absolutely nothing in my diary today, woop, so jogged down to yoga with Denis. So sweaty!! Wish I could figure out my shoulders in down dog - still doesn't feel right. Good class as always.

Running warm up/down 16:34 [2] 2.52 km (6:35 / km) +11m 6:27 / km
shoes: Purple Nimbus

Trot (most of the) way home again, after stepping off a kerb I didn't see and jarring my back. Seem to have got away with it thankfully.
1 PM

Hill Walking 15:00 [1] 1.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: Red Mudclaws

Getting some sneaky uphill terrain MMM training in, a circuit of Cave Hill with the dog staying in the grass & heather once onto the hill. Felt good actually. Not so the dog who had to leap like a mad thing to get her head above veg height. She's knackered now.
Next time go round the back to get a longer climb.
Actual time more like 2 hours
