Strength & Conditioning (Wildfoot) 1:00:00 [1]

Much more circuity today - which has resulted in 100 lunges (among other things). In sets of 10, let's not be crazy. Did really well on the first round of forward lunges - unmuted myself to publicly congratulate my knees n all - but then came the back lunges and the last 2 sets of those were not a good example of a lunge. But defo progress on the oul' knees.
Keep up the step-downs and couch stretch EVERY night. Been slacking a bit this week.

MapRun at Bangor Castle. Was all set to jog round with the dog till it went beeeeeeep at the start and it was like Pavlov's dogs, off I shot without a care of where I was heading to.

Also my own dog, who was chasing down Davy in front of us.

The app worked largely really well - one control took a while to pick up but looking at the trace it's slightly off on the map. Don't know if map mildly out or if tree cover was causing issues.

So it was a lot of fun! Dog chasing squirrels was ridiculously annoying but can't blame her really. Glad to have an excuse to get out & run, even if it was a yellow course, I didn't need a tech challenge, just a "get outdoors into green space" moment.

With Ali. Mahoosive ab cramp after 40 minutes, from which we can conclude that eating ones breakfast while starting ones Pilates class is a bad idea.

What is this? An actual run? Dragged my sorry arse round 5k, nasal breathing pretty much the entire time, nice route. Probably a bit too much tarmac but I interspersed it with grass, mud and (annoyingly) nettles so I hope my feet will survive in these shoes.
The river Lagan is in full beast mode, really swollen today. Not a day for kayaking.
Just felt like this was hard work even though it was easy pace but sure, I've not been running hardly at all, so it shouldn't really be a surprise. Saw a couple of robins and a wee shrew thing on my walk back to the car. Nature in the city.
