Was meant to run Thurs (went to Walled Garden plus 2.5 hour walk instead) and Sat (went for long walk instead). Will run Monday in place of Saturday. But this is where the wheels can fall off a training plan. Now that our Line of Duty marathon is over, I would like to get into earlier bedtime / earlier start. Which means I can run before Weds / Thurs classes and get a headstart on the day.

MapRun orange course in Ormeau, plus a bit on either end. Excellent to be out map in hand, though this did turn into a bit of an interval session, since there was quite the time delay on picking up most points on the app.
Park is in really nice condition - daffodils in full bloom, soft yet dry underfoot, and the nettles only poking their cheeky little noses up out of the ground.
Left knee a couple of times gave me bother - when it landed significantly bent (eg going uphill) it gave me pain on the outside, ITB maybe? Resolved immediately but not fun.
Went for a long-ish (8 mile) walk with Davy today, in hiking boots. Both knees got really achy really quickly - either from the weight of the boots or the heel raise??? Anyway not a fan of that, since we were walking on the flat. But it was fantastic to get out. Place was bunged. This needs to shift to midweek.
More Pilates CPD, this time it was toning balls - again not much overly new here (basic adjustments only) but will be a good plan to bring a few into class next week, as several clients have purchased new toning balls, so it'll be a chance to use them. I'm not a big fan of the explosive rotation but perhaps good to try it?
So I'm trying to find a more classical, abdominal-focussed Pilates class to complement what I'm already doing. This was with Meagan who is down in the Mournes somewhere. Very enjoyable - though not much abdominals going on, so I'm not sure it's giving me that contrast I'm looking for. It's also moving to Wednesdays which clashes with Wildfoot. But will be good to drop in every now & then

CPD "Pilates For Men" but since there was no actual use of penises or testicles in the workshop, I'm not sure how it was for men. It was mildly athletic, but I mean mildly here, so I'm actually rather disappointed in the content. Good ideas for class - but very little male-specific eg patterns of lower hip mobility particularly internal rotation, yet higher muscle mass / "military" ribcage placement, limited rotational ability etc. Surprised that none of this was even mentioned. I'm very lucky with the teacher I go to - high quality CPD every week :)
