Note

Biggggggg work target achieved today, after working the past two weekends. Feeling remarkably perky and ready for the week ahead. What is this madness?

Saturday May 18 #

8 AM

Cycling 34:24 [1] 8.02 km (4:17 / km) +57m 4:08 / km

Cycle over to Fall parkrun, via as much greenery / off-road as I could find. Turns out Google maps done good, and I ended up in new places, through Bog Meadows where there is a little farm and lots of wilderness, and then up through Milltown Cemetery (busy spot even early morning)

Running 36:01 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (16:01 @3) + (10:00 @4) 4.95 km (7:16 / km) +48m 6:56 / km
shoes: Altra Lone Peak

Falls parkrun, ran the whole thing, I was PUNCTURED at the end (and most of the way round).
You would think this pace would be a pleasant jog. Turns out no.
So much room for improvement in terms of strength, form, fitness.
However, I am where I am, and let's go from there, no rush

Cycling home again, via An Chulturlann and No Alibis and McConveys cycles.
Very productive morning in the pleasant weather :)

Small bit of mobility / quarter knee squat caper in the gym pre-teaching
11 AM

Running 30:00 intensity: (5:00 @1) + (25:00 @2) 3.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Altra Lone Peak

Total guess at time & distance as my watch keeled over.

Little trot, maybe 6-7 minutes, then barefoot drills on grass but my L 3rd toe started hurting (that's the metatarsal that I fractured) so yeah nah, shoes on, was fine then, did all 10 reps.
I seem unable to even gently jog with nasal breathing, however, the run bit of the drills (okay it's downhill but still) felt very good
