Overcast and damp. Did the Salt loop. Rain started on way back down Salt. Had a german sheperd come out crossing the road. I stopped. The dog stopped. Cars stopped. I yelled. Dog ran home and life went on. HR went above 155 on climb back up to traffic light at 441. Was a headwind going south.

Warm enough for shorts. Roads wet. Started raining fairly hard by the time I turned north onto Carter/Salt Road. Looped back on Furman. Short but OK.

Meant to be an easy ride. Heart rate was elevated from the beginning. Had tailwind going out and some headwind on return. Both at 11.7 mph average. No aches or pains. Good ride except for elevated HR.
