Running race 1:01:38 [4] 10.0 km (6:10 / km)
shoes: Rainbow Brite

Sentrumsløpet in Oslo today with Cristina and Surafel. Astrid from my class was also running but somehow I never found her out of the 8000 + people running.

First 5 K split: 31:10
Second 5K split: 30:28

It was a great time. I started out a little discombobulated after the weather got warmer and then threatened to rain and a few wardrobe adjustments. Of course I forgot to wear my "fancy" watch but I think that helped actually. I just focused on running a comfortable speed, picked out people to "catch" and kept going. The great scenery helped! We ran around the Palace, through the Frogner area and then down to Akershusfestning. At the 8K mark I started to feel pretty tired and I wasn't sure if my blood sugar was holding up and I ended with a blood sugar of 45 so I guess I was right.
I did reduce my basals to 70% and have an extra banana and box of raisins but I guess I should have started a bit higher.

Aftwards we went to Illegal Burger and actually got in! I had a delicious blue cheese/bacon burger. Now they're saying that they're opon on Mondays. It's a bit confusing.

Orienteering race 38:00 [2]
shoes: Slime

I had a great time again at the third OCC. I was a bit confused at the start but did figure out a better way to hold my compass and brick in the same hand at the start in order to deal with the start arrangement that favors people who are left handed compass holders. What is the proportion of people who are right-handed compass holders, I wonder.

We got a ride home from the Sandberg family and had some interesting conversation about high schools & IB.

Running 45:00 [3] 6.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: Pink high-tops

Ran around Sognsvann twice with Astrid, Surafel, and Terese. It was fun but I was pretty tired after just 1 lap. I need a bigger "standard" loop than 3 K. I'm not sure how much time it actually took because I took a little stretch break in the middle.

Running 1:00:00 [2] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)
(injured) shoes: Pink high-tops

I ran one lap around Sognsvann before my R knee started to ache a bit. I decided to try to take a 5 min rest to stretch and then go around again with Surafel. By the end both knees were aching a bit - I am hoping the left knee is just hurting because I'm running a bit strangely due to my R knee pain. Oy. So I'm icing and ibuprofening.

Hiking 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: Pink high-tops

Hiked up Vettakollen. It was a bit of a cloudy day but I still had a great view from the top. I think I will send a picture to cheer up my grandmother who just had hip surgery.

Orienteering 46:00 [2]
shoes: Slime

First of the Oslo City Cup races tonight on Bygdøy. It was a lovely night and I had a great time. I'm surprised how long it took but maybe it had to do with having so many controls and I tried to take paths for most of the race.

Note

Cristina just signed me up for the Scottish 6-day. For W-35 s.

Not W-21 s.

Wow.

I'm still going to have a great time.

Run/Walk 40:00 [2] 3.0 km (13:20 / km)
(injured)

Ugh, so I still seem to have this knee/popliteal thing. I thought I had outgrown it during the ski trip. So I had to run/walk around the lake and maybe do more stretches and research.
