Cycling 50:00 [3]

I rode up Mountain to the Rillito River Park. I had planned to run but decided just to see how the ride was. I was a little sore from riding yesterday but it was good to have a specific goal of riding to the trail. I saw a lot of bikers on the way and they were all friendly. On an exciting note I rode wearing a cycling jersey for the first time today! It definitely made me feel more energetic:)

I ate some cereal before I left and only bolused 0.5 units. I turned my basals down to 80% about half an hour before I started and then once I got there I was still a bit high (though coming down from eating) so I turned my basals up to 87%. When I got back I was 113 so for a longer ride I should keep the basals down.

Run/Walk 16:00 [2]

After my bike ride today I rested for a bit and then tried to run for 20 minutes. I ran to a local park near me. I'll need to find a good running route near my house as this was not the most scenic or enjoyable experience.

Cycling 40:00 [2]

I had to return the moving truck today which was sad as it was my only source of gas powered transportation around town. Luckily I now have two bikes to tool around on:) I biked back from the rental place from Tanque Verde on Pima and it was a nice ride. At about 10 am the traffic was not too heavy and there was a nice bike lane. Blood sugars remained pretty good with my basals reduced for about half an hour before the ride to 80% I think.

Running 30:00 [3]

I ran for 30 minutes out on the Rillito river trail and then walked back. BG before the run was 112. I ate 15 g cho and dropped basals to 70%. After the run/walk BG 226. My knee didn't hurt at all on this flat trail.

Hiking 1:30:00 [3]

We went running in the Chiricahua mountains on the natural bridge trail. I could only run for a few minutes at a time so I walked most of it but that was some great hill work. Started out with BG 96 and I ate 70 g Cho in the first 15 minutes. Ended up at BG 86 and kept dropping after that. Seems that hills really make a difference.
