Today we played pass the energy with Laura Jane which is an awesome game to get everyone energized and bonding with each other. It involves standing in a circle and passing and stopping and zapping "energy" around the group. Otherwise we've just been sitting around teaching/learning how to do blood glucose checks and how to use insulin pens on oranges. You know, real life stuff.
We have a different food services contractor at the camp this year and I am psyched. The food for the past 3 years has been great but I'm ready for a change. These folks seem good - crystal light is strong and the flavors are better, though they gave us salsa this morning with our breakfast burritos that was too zippy for a breakfast sandwich. Ouch!
Otherwise my goal is to run at least three times a week however we're in such a time crunch for this first part of training that I'm having trouble finding an exra 30 minutes. I think this will officially start on Wednesday.
