Orienteering race (Long) 57:33 [5]**** 5.89 km (9:46 / km) +240m 8:07 / km
spiked:16/17c shoes: VJ Falcons
Day One on green x at the IS. Had a really great run. Fast early and slowed down later. Loved the terrain and the great visibility. Ended third in M60 seconds behind Lux. Got a blister which I fixed with the first aid kit. It didn't bother me the rest of the weekend.
Orienteering race (sprint distance) 19:54 [5]***** 2.7 km (7:22 / km) +60m 6:38 / km
spiked:12/12c shoes: VJ Falcons
Although I was tired after the long course at midday, felt pretty good at the start of the sprint. Felt like I was moving well through the really open woods. Had a bad route choice to 9. Started dragging at the end. Finished well. 24th and first M60.

Nice little run in the park after work.

running hills 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT2110
It was so nice out that I decided to do my hill workout in the park. Not as scientific as the treadmill but it was 59 degrees so I got to wear shorts for the first time this year.
Ran up one side and down the other and back up and down a paved hill in the park (by the Indian Boy if you know the park). Warmed up 10 minutes then ran hard up for about 2 minutes and jogged down for about 2:20. Did 4 repeats of this and felt tired afterwards but recovered nicely.
