Kinetic 60km AR with Bron, just outside Heidelberg. Step up for Bron from the sprint at Cradle moon pre-lockdown.

Race started with a technical 7km trek, 6km paddle and 4km trek back to the start/finish area. We took a conservative approach hiking most of the way, racing with Murray and team, Steve & Ray and Micheal and Klara, and just behind Wiehan/Liezelle and Tanya with Sleepy dragons. The trek was busy mid pack, and the race only started spreading out after the paddle, where we picked up plenty of positions coming in around 12-15th place.

The 2nd half of the race was a 27km cycle, 7km trek, 10km cycle, and it started getting very warm, we passed some teams and got dropped and passed by others starting the last hike closer to 20th position I think, Steve and Ray got away from us before the end of the cycle, and we didn't see them again, the hike was tough, very slow going terrain and hot, we got the nav done well and caught passed a few teams, then got into the last T just behind 5/6 teams and passed them all with a speedy transition before the last leg, with only one team catching us before the finish.

Waiting for final results to come out, but we were 5th mixed pair (ahead of Wiehan and Liezelle), Micheal and Klara won this cat. Great results for us, we are aiming for a 120km together next year.
