Walk 40:00 [1] 2.0 mi (20:00 / mi)
slept:10.0 weight:200lbs

Took Kelsey to a VB tournament at Bladium in Alameda. Ran over to the big ships during a break. Man, those ships are big. The freight or cargo ships are really big, and the aircraft carrier is huge. But this aircraft carrier, which is a museum, is a small one compared with the nukes like Nimitz . I dunno how they landed those planes on the deck in a rough sea with windy conditions. Wow!

Also looked at a bunch of yachts anchored there. Every one had someone on board. It must be a very boring life just sitting anchored in a messy harbor in the shadow of a bunch of big warships.

There's also a bunch of other boats there too, with some old timers on board, and they look like they haven't been aywhere in a looong time. Look like a bunch of old sailors sitting waiting for a war to come around so they can get back on board the big ships.

The business of maintaining those big ships must be quite something. Everything is huge. So they would have to use cranes and rigs to do almost anything.

Very interesting sidetrip.

Walk 1:30:00 [1] 5.0 mi (18:00 / mi) +90m 17:03 / mi
slept:9.0 weight:200lbs

Walked the Briones 7th grade loop with Arwen, to pick up the rest of the controls. Oh-oh, 5 controls were missing. The grader was parked at one of the control locations, so I suppose the rangers picked up the ones they saw on the path, which was the 5. Went over to Park HQ to see if they were hanging outside, but no such luck. I guess there will be some flak coming.... they will say I should have picked them up last weekend, but I ran out of time. Oh well, that's the problem with doing people favors... they sometimes go wrong.

Softball 1:30:00 [1]
slept:5.0 weight:200lbs

Lost this one. Bummer. I played fine, batted well, on base 4 times out of 4. Never made it past first base though... the other team fielded really well.
