Blue at FH. Started off as a trainwreck but improved after the first few. Wasted 10+min getting to 4, getting turned around while trying to get to the road. At 5, I spotted the control and took off. Caught a downed tree at full speed with a sharp point sticking out at knee level. Went from sprint to dead stop as it caught my calf sleeve and stuck there. I don't think there's any damage, just very swollen and bruised. Things settled down after that, with only a couple small bobbles (early reentrant etc).

Guess on distance. Turned on the tracker and left it in the van. Stopped along the AT where it crosses 81. Nice little section. Not as scenic north of the interstate, but you can't complain about a trail literally crossing your road trip route :) Going south, we encountered a no dogs allowed sign, meaning we'd crossed into the Great Smokies. Turned around and stayed in Cherokee instead.

Stopped at the New River Trail on the way to Asheville to let the dogs run. Rico rolled in horse manure. Ammazing. Nice views along the trestle bridges. Planning to come back and ride this 57mi trail out and back in the spring.

12 Days of Christmas. Start by doing 1 rep of exercise 1, then 2 of 2, 1of 1, 3-2-1 etc. Hard to fit in workouts on shift because this station is so busy. Got a call right before i started this then again on my final round. So I made it through everything but about the last 3min.

First house fire for me at PWC. 2nd in. Pulled a line and went inside. Fire venting from the roof when we arrived. Arms were cramping by the time we starting cleaning up.
