Trench class. Picking up heavy things and putting them down.

Recon mission with Maya and Rico. Dee, Leslie, and John brought their 2 dogs to make a 4 man/4 dog ride. Mine did so good and seemed to have a great time on their first ride. Planned to go longer but swung by camp, and D wasn't having a good morning, so I called it a day. Nice to have a chill weekend with great peeps and creatures for once.

MORE camping weekend at Big Bear Lake in WV! Woo this was a good time. We took the dogs, so I figured it would be more of a social/dog wknd than a big ride wknd, and it was for sure. Met some really cool ppl in the Bike Lane group. We set up camp in the field past all the campsites and called it our own. It was about a dozen of us and 6 dogs and over 100 total ppl taking part in the wknd. MORE took over the entire campground. I had a blast, and the dogs seriously had the time of their lives so far, going wherever they pleased and playing together. This first ride was a group ride with 20 or so ppl and 4 dogs. Mine stayed back at camp with Dusty, who wasn't feeling too great. Rode the Crack trail and a couple others. Ammmmazing trail system! Will def have to go back to really hit the trails.

Evening ride with D before the potluck. Did a sampler of the trails, with the ultimate goal being to get to the "pines" in the southern corner of the trail system. We figured we would be disappointed by said pines, but the forest was huge! It was a planned forest, and there for the most part aren't pines in the rest of this park. We went through 3 distinct regions, the pines, the typical open rocks and ferns areas, and the swamp/marsh region that was dense and full of rhodo.

Rode to the academy from the house for class. Found a great safe route through the country, and it was a gorgeous morning. Low lying fog in the fields.
