Zwift fail. Started the FTP test, and the WU was working fine. Once the test started, the power data went sideways, and a cadence of 110+ wouldn’t increase the resistance. Not sure what the deal was. Aborted. Going back to TrainerRoad. The MTB isn’t tuned to be able to shift with the road cassette anyway.

Paddle 30:00 [3] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Over and back twice. The first for trek/run with the dogs. The second for a night ride.

Run (/Trek) 2:03:56 [3] 7.8 mi (15:53 / mi) +853ft 14:24 / mi
shoes: Lone Peak 3.5 purple

With dusty and the dogs. Ran through to meet Julie and Anne and their creatures. Lost Maya for 45min, and she showed up when we were almost back to the boat. Also, Rico ate a whole squirrel. Not sure if he killed it or found a fresh carcass.

Gorgeous night. Hard to get back out the door, but Dee came to ride, so we made it happen. Tons of deer.

First time with Zwift. Started with a group race. Aborted and switched to intervals. Needed to mess with the settings to get a decent workout. And apparently you actually have to shift when you do the rides! Used to TrainerRoad that does it all for you.

Working the kinks out of the overhaul. Brake bleed made the brakes soft and the fork wasn’t locking out. I think I adjusted them both.

Bike 40:38 [4] 8.6 mi (12.7 mph) +190ft

Tacchino CX 1/2/3. 3rd place out of 4 ha. Started pouring on an already wet course 5min before the start. Good competition at least. I got my Cat 3 upgrade approved this week.

Amazing how fast a NFP works when they have unlimited full time employees. Applied for upgrade...30min later a real human from USAC emails me back with approval. But alas, we’re STILL comparing apples to oranges.

Started in 2nd with Katherine on my wheel for the first 3 laps. Julie got out to an early lead, but we were gaining on her. Then I slipped after my remount past the barriers and went down, apparently aggravating my already strained abs when I landed on my bars. They didn’t bother me for the rest of the race but felt terrible after. Kat passed me on the spill. Spent the last 2 laps giving chase to no avail. Thoroughly enjoying getting crushed in the 1/2/3s.
