KISS Crit NA #9. This was my 7th, so it gave me full points for the series. 2nd place finish tonight also puts me solidly on top of the leaderboard. I'll have to do the math, but I don't think anyone can overtake me. Top 5 East coast get an all expenses paid trip to race top 5 West coast racers at a live final in April. Might sound absurd, but Zwift racing is a thing now haha.

Pantani. It had been raining for 24 hrs, and a lot of folks bailed. I chose mtb for this gravel and road course, having been up the major climbs before and wanting the gearz. Rain through all the prep and the first 10min or so of the ride. Then it stopped until I got back in the van to leave. Started in the first group of guys but was drowning in road spray and pushing a bit harder than I wanted from the start. Backed off til the first rollers then started catching casualties. Felt pretty solid all day and treated it like a race situation. Rode solo for the duration. Great climb up Flat Top then again up the backside via Brokenback. Good end to a big training block. Now time to recover so hard and be fresh for Monster CX next wknd.
