Orienteering race 1:08:31 [3]
shoes: newer Oroc 340s
First O after move to Maine - was uncertain of both fitness level and ability to get back into mindset. Perhaps indicative of the latter, my worst control was #1, where I went to the last control (#12), reading it as #1, and then was baffled as to why the control code was wrong. Fully investigated the area, etc - lost perhaps several minutes doing this before the mists parted and I started my way to the actual #1. Of course angry and geflummoxed, finding that was shaky too, but confidence built for the rest of the course. I was very pleased that I felt good physically - chalk that up to no longer sitting behind a desk!
And this is my first AP training log post! Will end here because I am not sure if this will simply save and do not want to waste hard-fought typing effort.
