6 PM

running 1:00:00 [3] 12.86 km (4:40 / km) +50m 4:35 / km

3x9 minutes around the killing fields. Took the first two pretty easy at ~3:35 min/km and then ran with the front for the final one which didn't feel any faster again. Good times, legs seem to be returning pretty quickly which is exciting.

running 1:05:00 [2] 13.0 km (5:00 / km) +60m 4:53 / km

To and from uni. Feeling like i have training in my legs for the first time in a loooong time, so a good tired feeling today. Easy day tomorrow as don't want to take any risks and a rehearsal all evening...

Lovely black around Roseisle. Not going too hard and lots of scrappy mistakes partly owed to the compass i locked in Sasha's car, oops... Saw Finlay for approximately 10 seconds before realising i had skipped a control and had to nip back for it. I was a bit sad because i would have loved a bit of head to head racing to drag me around the second half. As it was i put a bit of a burst in for the next leg to try and catch him and completely messed it up. Plodded it home with temperamental surges of motivation to run a bit faster. Tried to nail the run in as fast a possible but got lost so walked in to make sure I didn't get the 12 fastest run in time, which meant i would have had to go for a swim in the sea.

Lovely run out topped off with 2 hours of bonding standing around and waiting for the RAC to break into Sasha's car.

Excited to try and get fit this semester and see if the body holds up and get competing next year. Already feeling pretty good and feeling significantly faster every week which is nice. The grind feeling will soon hit though i have no doubt.

orienteering 40:00 [4] 8.0 km (5:00 / km) +150m 4:34 / km

Two course at the Scottish unis relay champs. First one was the first leg orange lol. Waking up the controls and some poor route-choice meant the lead i came back with was pretty small.

Then ran the last leg for the STUOC second team which acually had no one from Stirling in it. Ran it hard ish but not all out and felt absolutely shattered. Time was alright though so i will take that.

Good day out

running 5:00 [2] 1.0 km (5:00 / km)

9 PM

running 30:00 [2] 5.81 km (5:10 / km)

Sasha persuaded me out for a recovery along the beach. Very glad i went, good chant and a very atmospheric run with the waves and an almost full moon. Beautifuul

Easy home from uni via the bottom half of MFD
9 PM

orienteering 50:00 [3] 7.5 km (6:40 / km)

Some "orienteering" in Culbin. Some mass start fannying around in the forest which was a good laugh. Running quite fast at points and regularly being pretty lost. Enjoyed myself almost as much as i enjoyed the dinner layed on by the Barr's afterwards. Good times.
