Kurnell and back
Tried to do it under 2hours which would make it a much more (mentally) acceptable ride to do regularly, but didn't quite make it. Doable tho.
Went the coast road down and regretted it... there were HEAPS of cars on the road, and because it was so early, they all felt like driving a million miles an hour. Saw heaps of traffic coming home (the quieter way) too, suggesting everyone is choosing to drive to work and school
looks like the glory days of covid empty roads are finished (on weekdays at least)

Urban adventuring in Barton park
So many new fences mean that although you CAN still get to almost everywhere in there (supposedly legally), you can't really get through, so lots of out and backs exploring. takes a bit of the fun of it not being able to get through

in to work for a flu shot then back home via some dirt/mud in centennial and tempe, and also checked out the cx loop that people have been doing at callan park... pretty tricky as cx because there are some steep muddy rooty bits... would be pretty difficult to get up on a cx
Saw some dudes working on another track through the tempe loop which will be great.

Some really muddy bits and the tires were like ice-skates

pulled up nicely after yesterday... there was a hint of a cramp in the evening but otherwise just some headaches and only mild chest stuff overnight (no worse than if i have a couple of beers)

Birthday ride. figured its probably the only day of the year i can justify doing things this long with 2 kids so took the opportunity to do 4 gorges (which i've never done before)
Also had planned on doing an addition 2 (mt white and bobbo return) but skipped bobbo back as it was already very late... hadn't planned on averaging such slow speed.

Was great to get out before sunrise, really felt like a nice way to spend the day
