Didn't feel i was going too bad, a couple of minute-ish mistakes. Then about 45minutes in my legs just suddenly threw in the towel... not really able to run up hills at all, and so walked the ups.
A bit weird, doesn't really happen to me that often that suddenly, and kinda thought i had some leg fitness, although yesterday's ride was pretty tiring.
10th or so, although 4th-15th was all within 5 minutes of each other. The young guns are flying, 15mins ahead of the rest.

had hoped to do an ftp test, but put it off until too late in the day. struggled with the heat, but trusted that the intensity of the warmup would be ok... almost didn't make it through the warmup.

Saeforth mtbO on a cross bike
Was really excited and scared of this... have never done a mtbO before, so didn't know how technical the trails would be they send us on, and have barely ever ridden mtb anyway.
There was one other guy doing it on a CX, but he had 42mm tubular cx tires compared to my 28mm touring clinchers.
Turned out to be a really good level of difficult... lots of dismounting, and only one little crash/hit my head on a low branch.

Saw some people on MTB flying past me down a steep rocky bit while i barely managed to stay on the bike, so knew the time would be slow, but was made even slower (6 mins) by not seeing a control on the southern part of the map until i'd already left that area, so went back after the end to get it.

Happy to have gotten through it without incident, and will definately do it again, just to get more laughs.
