Absolute cracker of a day. blue skies, great company, sweet hills, good food, reasonable pace... doesn't get much better than this!

Felt pretty good up the climbs except for Honnister which i burned myself out a bit early. got up on Monday though, so all good.

26k with 16k race pace (4:20) around Vic Park.
Felt pretty damn tight in the legs and at the finish i felt like i had run 20 miles...
around half the run was off-road, which i know i'm a lot slower at, which makes me feel a little better, so maybe i should just be happy that i maintained 160bpm for the 16k.
Race pace was closer to 4:30 as i felt real tight all over. Think i'm going to have to re-assess how I approach this schedule, as i'm definately overtraining at the moment due to the non-running stuff i'm doing (basketball, tennis, hiking, cycling etc). Beers last night didn't help either :)
Hope i can recover for Sunday's sportive

Unscheduled rest day. Wednesday hurt a bit more than it should and i've got a big weekend of cycling coming up.
Think i'm risking overtraining a bit...

sore legs, don't think yesterday's recovery run worked.
HR and fitness felt good, and good mood/energy.
Legs definately need a solid rest day tomorrow for Friday's 26k slog then a big weekend on the bike.

Strides and 1 fast lap of greenland quay. Unfortunately GPS wasn't accurate enough to count as a strava segment attempt, but could do better anyway.
Knees and feet still a bit sore from yesterday's walk... gotta get myself some trailshoes for that sort of stuff i think
