2014 Semi-Marathon De Paris

This one had been my focus for the last 2-3 months.
My prev PB was 1:30:20-something and i've been pissed off about being so close to the 90min barrier. I came into this pretty confident i'd break it, and quietly confident i'd smash it.
Started in the preferential pen just behind the elite guys, which was cool to see them start.
Felt very good and relaxed over the first 10-15 k. I knew i was running faster than my pace of 4:10s, but was feeling fine, and had often found myself going faster in racepace runs.
Couple of slight uphills and slight downhills meant laps were completely consistent.
caffeine sugar gels worked a treat again around 15k, although had a slightly uphill section at 17km at a time when i was feeling a bit sluggish

Feeling good for Sunday's Paris Half Mara.
Taper week is hard, i still want to get my runs in, but know i'll regret it, so just doing little 5km trots.
Trying to up the carbs a bit through the week, but not dramatic. cutting out the crap i've been eating the last couple of weeks and have an extra good meal a day.

Will aim for 4:10 kms, which i think is achievable, and will assess through the run.
Happy with <1:30 (PB)
Timing for ~1:28
Possibility on a good day for <1:27-26 i think

was great to be on the roady again, so racey!
route sucked. too many lights on the way out, and traffic on the way back
