Surrey with Rich and Mhairi
Rode out with the Kingston Wheelers. For some reason the group was really sketchy with some very average riding, so we split off and did our own thing.

Felt very good up the climbs etc, and think i'm in a better place for L'etape this year, especially with being able to ride long hours. Will just need to work on strength over the next few weeks.

Again, like yesterday, had a bit of a down period at 60km or so, but pulled through and felt pretty good at the end. Would be good to identify exactly what's causing it, but not too big a deal.

First ever 100mile.
Dom needed to practice his new aerobars, so did laps of Richmond park.
Felt a bit shasty after 60km or so (probably due to Friday beers) but pepped up and was feeling good til the end.
Dom struggled on the last couple of laps, but otherwise riding strong.

well earned rest day. plan on 200 miles over 2 days on the weekend which is going to be a big ask. Body feeling very good with more swimming in the mix. left knee a little fatigued from the last couple of cycling efforts.
Weight back up to a more sustainable level and sleeping better again.

Technique felt really good. concentrating on getting my shoulder right out of the water, and on pulling back and up rather than pushing down.
Breathing and glide felt really really good today. need to get a lesson though

Great solo arvo ride out in woolwich/shooters hill.
actually got a very smooth run with not much stopping and starting. A few hills here and there which sorted me out, and windy.
will do this kind of route again!
