Swimrun 2017 with Prong
Wasn't sure how this was going to go as i'm recovering from a bit of a cold, and not much swim training, and felt pretty shady through the first few swims.
Thankfully (unlike last year) Prong felt shadier than me and wasn't getting into the swing of it. This made me feel a lot better and relaxed on the swims, actually getting into some nice rhythm and felt comfortable on the runs.
Perfect day for it, beautiful weather and reasonable water quality. Such a fun event.

new chain and its skipping, probably against the old cassette, which means this bike now needs a new cassette, and a new freehub on the back. may as well get a whole new wheel (but i love the current cx/commute setup...)

A bit of a nothing run-commute. Didn't want to push it as i've nearly kicked this cold, but didn't want it to be a trot given its probably my only run this week.
Decide to do an easy progression from ~4:50 down to 4:00s with music dialed to 170bpm.
Need to do some proper experimentation on optimal cadence for me, not sure if it should be slower because i'm taller with less natual muscle.

Also have been using a standing desk at work for 3 days now. Interested in how that impacts my running.
