Sydney Harbour 10k After starting to feel sick on Thursday evening, i'd all but decided to skip this one, I woke up in the middle of the night on Saturday having actually decided to give it a miss... but Oscar reliably woke me up at 5am and i ended up going along just to try and get a 37minute time which would bump me up a c2s group. Was great to start at the front of the pack with the other 'elite' runners and get good pacing through the race. hit 5k around 17:30 feeling pretty good but hocking up a lot of phlegm. Started feeling a bit sluggish but was able to up the cadence when the speed dropped and only really went slower than 3:30s on the up to pymont bridge. Big PB (tho i obviously don't run this distance much) and pretty surprised being able to do this time while sick.

Probably went a bit hard yesterday so tried to shake the legs out today while picking up my racebib. Apparently i only need a sub-37 to qualify for the next group up at city2surf... seems wierd... i will try and pace the first 5 just under 18 and see how i go from there.

Independence Day tap-takeovers at Sir Chapel and Quarrymans. Both were kinda not that great tbh with quarrymans only having US bottles, not taps... but the IIPA at chapel was one of the best i've had.
