http://new-act.orienteering.asn.au/eventor/results...Really fun race, which suited me as far as bush-orienteering goes (was closer to a tough park sprint). None of the controls were hidden, so if you got the circle you generally got to the control, which was nice.
Ran faster than most with a bunch of top splits on shorter legs, but lots of medium errors (~30s) cost me any sort of reasonable result.
So fun to run sprint-style in open fields!
Errors
2mins - 4 control, first long leg went too far south, had to relocate twice
30s - 10 hadn't yet figured out that we were allowed to go through fences, so routechoice to the gate, then didn't quite nail the control location
30s - 13 not sure. looks like i didn't have a plan
30s - 20 - misread the map and skipped a control to one i had seen earlier
40s - 28, got flustered around a bunch of other runners and routechoice through the deepest green on the map. actually crawling on my hands and knees through scrub
50seconds behind prong so at least feel like i'm justified turning up to these events now!
