Felt really clean compared to most metros. Normally i lose a stack of time on 1-2 controls, but that didn't really happen here, mostly because of the big road legs with the opportunity to look ahead 4 controls at a time.
Mispunched 2nd last. I knew it was a bit of a tricky control, so took my time on approach, but at the punch I was a bit distracted by people following me, and by not hearing the beep. I had also checked most codes, but this one was so close to what i was looking for (115 instead of 116 then 114). I also should have realised it wasn't at the bottom of the END of the yellow.

Was very disappointed, as this is the first time i've been close to the top runners (5mins or so off lead, and around GregB's time), but thats orienteering.

Felt like pacing was good (HR looked like a full effort, 175+ish toward the end)
Got held up maybe 5-10 seconds at the start.

Intentionally didn't look at pace until after the finish. Pretty surprised that this is still over 20 minutes... crazy to think given i feel like the rest of my fitness isn't too bad, but not too upset about it this time.

decided to try a little dirt track on the nature strip i've been eyeing off.
Was riding it with a headtorch, so spotted a double high treeroot too late and went ass over tit.
Realised when i got home that my phone fell out so had to go back with oscar and find it by torchlight.

R hand a little swollen and tender but seems ok
