needed a mental health kick, and had orienteering 10-1130 so did a summit on the way. just made it before course closed.
pretty shattered at the end but happy that my body can still manage a >3h run.
A lot of the summit i tried no-hiking, but once you get to the springs and zigzag its kinda innevitable. Will try poles next time.

O at sandy bay. fairly straightforward nav which meant faster running including a fair bit of up and down. pretty stuffed by the end and felt slow.
Ran there (on a work call) and ran home via some exploring on minor tracks through the uni etc. which was a bit more draining than expected.

up knocklofty summit after dropping may off via the tip turnoff. nice loop with plenty of interesting singletrack.
Trying to switch back to running the ups as much as possible... a year or so ago i decided to practice powerhiking all ups, and i don't think i really need to consciously work on that anymore.

flew up to Sydney for the weekend as mum got diagnosed with br cancer. sounds like they got it pretty early but will only know after surgery early march.
Rode with dad to meet the family at the cafe for brekkie then back.

Didn't tighten the seatpost properly and the screw completely came out and fell off somewhere on the way back. luckily giants are secured with two screws so was able to fix and re-tighten.

pretty good route, but a fair bit of traffic before the vineyard turnoff.
