flu or gastro hit and was bedridden for 40 hours or so. think it was what went around the family but hit me harder because of the big day thursday as i was taking hold

wasn't room in the car for mountain descent so came down on the mtb via north-south. ended up doing the whole thing (because a side-route turned out to be a private road with locked gate etc) and back via intercity cycleway.
Really fun with minimal climbing, a little like oaks i think from memory.
Rear brake was completely unuseable which meant i couldn't shortcut down any of the steeps really. got home and just turned a screw in the trigger which fixed it... wtf didn't i try that midride.

Better loop would be to descend on the road then climb the dirt, esp on road tires.
could probably do it in close to an hour with legs and no meandering

with may on the baby seat, tried going up past luge until it got a bit too steep. Would like to be able to ride to some different places with her, but a bit scared of descending with her on the back, and nowhere is flat.
