Rust busting on Igor's map. Thank you Igor!!!! Used strava to track instead of my watch since it died.
Got out a bit later than planned and darkness fell a little earlier than planned. I phone light sorta got me through!
Parked at the top of Teahen on Igor's advice. Trekked to the start. My watch died, totally forgot to charge it...haven't really needed to lately with the solar charge function.
Had to go so slowly to pick apart the contour lines. Still not totally sure how I got to #1! And 2 was confusing as well. Started to get my bearings on to 3. When I arrived at 4, the RE to the south confused me because I didn't see the streamer right away where I thought it should be. Doubled back and there it was. 5 was pretty straightforward.
I decided to cross country 6 because 1) I had planned to walk the whole course, 2) good practice and 3) walking along the water sounded nice. I had hoped to hop the stream, but I can't hop 6 feet! Had my new Brooks Ghosts on and wanted to see how they felt in O, and didn't want to soak them, so around I went.
7 was pretty straightforward except the light started to get very low and didn't see the marsh clearly and was on the wrong hill. Still not sure how I hit 8, I think because Igor mapped the veg so well. In white woods I could still read the map.
Went to 9 and accidentally went to the W instead of E, saw a chair there and never saw the streamer. Maybe I missed it or the hunter took it down. The rest I did with my Iphone light. 11 and 12 I didn't see the streamer, and had to double check the reentrants at 11. Then finished. Plan to go back out and do it backwards or in another order. Great practice!!!

To and from the s/f. Watch died and dumped the data for the trek in, and was worried about battery at the end so didn't log it.
