Weights (Chest) 50:00 [3]

50 reps: much easier this week, though totally draining--love it.

Street Run (To the beach) 42:25 [2] 4.5 mi (9:26 / mi) +168m 8:27 / mi
slept:7.0

Cautious street run down to the beach, with ice on the sidewalk in parts and few lights to guide me in the darkness. First time I've used my Garmin for this run, which I've been running for years. Now I know how far it is from my house.

First time since I strained my back that I felt my body slip into that old and comfortable running form. Of course that feeling came after the halfway point, where my pace dropped from 9:45/mile to 9:05/mile. I didn't feel the speed, just the ease while running.

Starting to understand how to dress for cold. Wore a light windbreaker with two shirts on underneath. Could have worn just the shirts and running tights. But the shirts were nice, since the breeze was inland. Totally nice at the beach: calm and almost warm.

Yoga warm up/down (yogajournallivmag.com) 25:00 [2]

Gotta stick with stretching...it makes me feel young.

Trail Running (LF Trail) 58:03 [3] 6.24 mi (9:18 / mi) +78m 8:57 / mi
ahr:157 slept:9.0 (injured)

Yesterdays snow pack was melted today with ice taking it's place on the sidewalks to the trail. Continuing to pair down my winter running gear, I ran with light gear and running tights. It was perfect. And the headlamp I grab as a second thought on the way out the backdoor really brighted the way as the sun set half way into the run. Love running the trail vs. the treadmill.

Foot cadence = 84
