Slowly recovering from the Sweden fever. WOC was a great experience, though a bit disappointing from a competitive point of view; I was not able to run my best in the sprint and sprint relay due to a combo of poor execution, not enough map prep, and jet lag, then I decided to bow out of the forest relay on the theory that Healthy Giac is better for the team than Sick Will. Sucks to not be able to use my forest start, but all the more reason to try to earn another next year.
Public races day four, open course 8. A pretty good race! Had one 30s mistake on 13, a short leg in a thick, complicated area where I missed my exit direction from 12. Also lost some 45s on 15 when I got stuck trying to get down some cliffs. A good confidence-builder for the relay.

Finally, first visit into the forest, messing around on the long/relay model map. I found it to be relatively benign - good runnability, high visibility, good footing, hardly any junk on the ground, lots of discernible features - though I wasn't moving at race pace.

Yog with brother Will of the North. Good to catch up - it's been a while, I think since last NAOC.
