Quickroute

Day 3 middle. Enjoyed this more than the long; the terrain was a bit faster and more hospitable, and easier on the ankles and feet, though still quite rocky. Navigated sloppily, but much fun was had.

Quickroute

Day 2, "long." Got suuuuper lost and couldn't find 2 for ages; I was unprepared for the necessary change in technical navigation upon entering the super complicated lava field and quickly lost all map contact, but after 2 I was more careful and got the hang of it a bit - though still missed 5 despite having already been to it while trying to find 2. Terrain was a mix of super rocky open lava fields covered in moss, stands of very dense, dark forest, and more "normal" open areas with various levels of brush. Footing was generally very challenging and restricted speed a lot.

Quickroute

Ice-O Day 1. A really fun sprint in Hafnarfjörður, not too difficult but with a few route choice legs and some trickier pockets of complicated rocky parkish areas hidden among the neighborhoods. Hooked 12 slightly, maybe 5-10s lost, and was a bit confused on the way to 13, but chose solid routes for the most part, though right to 12 may have been better, hard to tell. Got crushed by one Scandiboi by like 2min and was some 20s behind another.
