Lubrecht long. Really happy with this race; probably my best result in a long while. I felt strong physically, was able to attack the hills, generally orienteered well, and picked the right route on the long leg. I was even leading the race for a while until I lost a couple minutes at 13. Without any training in the past month due to some silly injuries, I'm just happy to be competitive with the younger guys in a race like this. Beyond that, the map and course were awesome, and the terrain was spectacularly enjoyable.

Middle @ Lubrecht. Classic case of a good run getting blown up by one bad control. 9 was in a tricky area of subtle contours and low visibility, but I did not act on this information and instead used an unsafe attack point. I didn't recognize my reentrant, wandered around for a while and relocated twice, but still lost some seven minutes. However, it was a good race other than that, though I lost some mental steam after the mistake, and started flagging physically after 13 or so. Hamstring didn't bother me during but was somewhat sore afterward.
