Orienteering race 1:03:49 [2] 3.32 mi (19:13 / mi) +125m 17:13 / mi

First time back orienteering after the torn calf and too long and cold a layoff. Took it way easy to be sure as not to injure anything again and never recover and be able to do the sport I so enjoy. Navigation was good to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Ended up at 7 instead of 6, but found 6 and went back to 7. Had a fair bit of trouble overshooting 8 a few times. 9 was fine, as was 10, but had some trouble on 11 (too high). 12 was tricky, went too far west on approach. 13-END went well and got to jog and punch alongside, control to control, with one of the folks I look up to (Bob F) in the DVOA.

Chipping for about 3 hrs today. Since it is low level work, discounted 50% in terms of time.

I pretty much prepped the piles of sticks and vines all week and was wearing shorts while doing it. Got a lot of cuts, so perhaps I could empathize with a portion of my DVOA comrades misery in Fronch Creek last weekend. Not the cold and rain, but the bloodletting.
