Cutting Lawn intervals 1:30:00 [2] 6.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Actually double trouble. First, pushing the chipper to suck up the leaves. They were wet, so it was rather heavy for extra workout. Then cutting the lawn, pushing the not so heavy lawnmower!

Orienteering race 31:42 [3] 2.37 km (13:23 / km) +80m 11:27 / km

Did the Score-O at Willows/Skunk Hollow. Did it in 34:12, and I thought I smoked it!

However; did I not do it all!

My map had 5 controls with the highest points with big X's through them, so I did not do those, presuming that they were not on the course (other side of the creek and I guessed that the creek was running how or some such). Got back to the start/finish and had a laugh when the event organizer told me that the map I had was used by one of the scout volunteer to place controls and those were marked off by the volunteer as he placed them. They were wisely saving paper.

Moral of the story - always love event volunteers, even if random things happen. Here is my abbreviated course:

I still had a fun time, but had I known I would have eased of the macho accelerator and paced myself a little better.

Cool little park - hid a letterbox there apres race.

LOL

Walking race 26:07 [2] 1.87 mi (13:58 / mi) +11m 13:43 / mi

Yes, we had a fun walk race at work. Since I was intending on orienteering, Saturday the 24th, I decided to walk 2 miles rather than run 4. This is because I am not a runner and did not want to mess myself up for O.

So, I finished first in walking. In keeping with the spirit of the event, I joined the runners in doing pushups for 1 minute prior to our setting out. 58 pushups in 1 minute.

Here is the course....
