Orienteering race 1:04:37 [4] 3.26 mi (19:49 / mi) +165m 17:08 / mi

Orienteering the green course at Hibernia. Encountered the fine Ms. @anniemac on the course a few times and we caught up a little bit (it has been too long), and then parted ways as our route choices diverged. Despite what Annie says, she is not out of shape! My only edge in the woods was the body armor I had on my shins for the many vines and such! I felt like a cartoon character at times and can only imagine what it would be like in here in the summer!

Control 2 was the hardest I ever worked to get the final 20 m to a control and the first 20 m out of a control. My aversion to hairy vines probably contributed to that! The rest was fun (and good company for 4-9) on a beautiful early spring day. My fave control was #10 - got to power uphill! Good visibility, but challenging approaches. My thanks to the course designer and event guru.

Got to reconnect with O friends and also trade pokemon with furlong47. We were amazed that she survived with the broken shoe.
