running 2:16:00 [3] 21.0 km (6:29 / km)
shoes: NB 1010

Wasn't feeling it on Sat'day so headed out on Sunday instead. Just a quick loop up Painter, over to the Pinnacle, back over the Painter saddle, and then some Black Mtn singletrack. I felt quick and strong up the hills, and I was well and truly chuffed to see that I had done 21 km. Took a gel flask but had not a one. Super foggy morning, great time out there.

I wasn't thaaaat keen to get out there this morning, truth be told, but I was meeting ALJ. Made it worth getting out of bed :) . Al was aiming for a longer run so I planned to just peel off after an hour, but I ended up doing the whole thing...once I got moving I felt pretty good, and by the time I thought about heading home we already were. Anyway, just some Aranda/black mtn looping. V dark this morning, needed head torch for most of it. Very happy that I got out there, and also chuffed to back up an interval sess with a longer run.

running 1:03:08 [3]

Interval session around gossan at lunch. I started with 2 x 4 min/2min efforts, then a mona fartlek (although my floats weren't really proper floats). Felt rubbish heading out and then great once I was into it...when I started feeling tired I was able to dig deeper and keep pushing my pace, which was an ace feeling. I also tried to stay on top of my technique and not fall apart when it got tough. I felt nimble AND zippy, and then tired AND happy when I got back to my desk.

Okay! AP has slipped my mind lately; I've been doing lots of running but forgetting to log any of it. Ah well. So, this morning was an Aranda hill loop de loop with some black mtn fire trail thrown in at the end. I felt very fresh in the legs...funny how three days off will do that. Felt like I was keeping turnover high without really trying. Another sensational sunrise, really bright colours and cool cloudshapes. I gave the ay-ups another go and they were great...ditto my new NB running jacket. Great great morning, very happy to be out there.

cycling 20:00 [3]

Was sort of planning to take Ev on the bike, but as the morning progressed I was more like, Nah.... So car for her and short bike trip for me.
