Early morning loop of Black Mtn (up to saddle but not all the way to the top). I felt really good! Especially considering that this was the third day in a row. I felt like I warmed up really quickly...sometimes it's pretty slow going at the start, but today I was right into it. Lots of kangas and other critters spooking me in the dark, rustling about. While I was running I was thinking about how running in the dark just seems normal now, and I don't mind it much at all! Although the woodland creatures do sometimes wreak havoc with my overactive imagination....anyway, great run!

Hill reps on powerlines/nemesis hill. Five reps of the full hill, plus one throwaway rep to start. Then four short sharp bursts at the end. It was good! Hill reps are probably my most feared of the runs, but maybe I'm getting over it. Also, this morning was pea-soup foggy, which equals zero visibility with head torch. Going up and down the same hill, over and over, was the perfect thing to do.
