Superb! Mt. Van Hoevenberg is just so nice and makes for gr8 ski-o's. Thankfully we got some snow last night to cover up all the gross ice and with some good grooming (on most of the trails) we had near perfect conditions.

Felt a lot better this morning fitness/health wise. My foot felt pretty good and with the nice snow I decided to send it hard. Felt very focused on the course, very few hesitations planning routes but once I figured them out I was super smooth. Quite sure I made all the best route choices.

Control #3, however, was in the wrong spot so I lost some time there. And one trail was marked as a large groomed one when it was actually just a snowshoe trail which lost me some time on #17.

Ready to take on Vermont!

Well today was not good at all for a plethora of reasons.
1. Very icy in most spots, was nearly impossible to grab and edge to push off with so I ended up double polling a lot
2. I haven't trained all week so I felt like crap and super out of shape
3. Wasn't sure how my foot would hold up so I was taking it sorta easy + had to change my technique up a bit
4. A lot of the controls were crossing over/through each other so several times I went to the wrong control (I know I know, read your map more carefully next time)
5. Because of all this I kinda gave up half way through
