Orienteering 3:15:00 [2]

Red course at Ransburg with 6 and 7 chopped off. There were many linear features to follow, and I didn't get lost, but that was because I was slower than molasses. In fact, I'm tempted to log this as a hike instead of orienteering. My side-of-an-almost-cliff route choice prob didn't help, but I mainly found the wet leaves, hidden rocks and branches, and steep climbs and sides of hills and re-entrants intimidating.

The woods were lovely and poetically gloomy. No deer or forest fowl today, unlike last weekend, and I didn't pick and eat the blueberries I saw. :) And cedarcreek, hkleaf, and IndyBass all introduced themselves; in fact, it was cedarcreek's excellent suggestion to cut off some of the distance.

Orienteering 1:10:00 [3]

Picking up 10 controls. Very cold so was glad to be moving again but fumbled with unclipping the first few controls on account of numb hands. Forgot to bring a compass but it was a pretty lost-proof area.
