Run from Chop Gate, straight up to Cock Howe then up to meet the Cleveland Way and then back via Cold Moor. A brilliant day out. Could have run further but very satisfied with what I did. Met a couple of runners out, too, one of whom I ran with for a bit before he lost contact on the long drag up to Crinkle Moor. Fitness felt good and with no leg pain at all (which seems to be strongly correlated with flat/faster runs).

Heslington Loop from work. Quick but fairly comfortable, apart from one spike when chasing a Strava segment. Usual niggles in my r. Hammy. But generally very happy with quantity and quality of training at the mo.

River Foss/Strensall Common w/Jess. Probably most enjoyable run this year. Just the usual longer loop along the river and back through the common, but felt really conformable running at sub-5 min/km pace. Only slight and occasional pain in my leg. Starting to feel running form is coming back but can't help feeling that I'm going to struggle to recapture threshold pace of a couple of years ago.

Long run in the Cleveland Hills with Steve Logan, one of the guys from the village. Fantastic spring like weather, with occasion bits of mist. Cocked up the route choice and ended running for an hour longer than planned. Run a bit stop-start towards the end as Steve began to tire, but that's another long run under my belt without to many side-effects.

Note

First full week in January couldn't have gone better with 81 kms and 1700 mtrs of climbing in the bank. Another couple of good, solid weeks and I can tentatively start thinking about races for first time in 18 months.
