After recycling, Elray and I played catch on the tennis courts, then took a short walk down Riverside trail to the road and back.

Today is Burpee Friday and we did lots of Burpees. My effort felt harder than what registered, but I'm not sure why. I felt like I was doing a good effort.
12 PM

Dog Walking 39:40 [3] 1.88 mi (21:06 / mi)
shoes: INOV8 TrailRoc 235

Walking Elray at Watkins Mill after a trip to the bank. We went counter-clockwise for a change, since the wind was howling over the dam. After a slow start, we kept up a good pace.

Out at Hodge Park to put out the last of the flagging. I couldn't find one location, a trail junction, so will have to find a new location. I did manage to be there when no one was on the driving range and got that flagging up.

9Round 32:00 [5]
ahr:115 max:138 shoes: Skechers GoFit

Today was the special "kick" day, but I forgot why we were kicking, except that we had to count our kicks, and my total was 2215, including the toe taps we did on all of the 30-sec. "breaks". I used Bob's kneepad for the 3 minutes of fire hydrant kicks and the three minutes of donkey kicks on the bag. My legs are tired now.
6 PM

Yoga 1:25:00 [1]

Candlelight yoga. Really felt stretched tonight.

Blaine had me doing one-on-one with pads on one round, and he is a slave driver. After taking a couple of days off, I sweated. I did some very light jumping today.
5 PM

Workout 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Skechers GoFit

We did a lot of agility drills, and I even managed to get some speed up. The balance was a lot better also. And I didn't get to push the sled--I'm crushed, not.

This was not actually dog walking because we put Elray in Doggy Day Care for half a day. Bob substituted for her and we went to the KC zoo. Bob hadn't been there in thirty years, and I'd been there only to chaperone field trips around ten years ago. His knee hurt, so we slowed the pace. It was a great day for the zoo--wonderful weather and very few people. And Elray got very well exercised in Doggy Day Care and slept the rest of the afternoon. My Surge tracked our route at the zoo in hike mode.

I had to go to Lawrence this morning for Grandparents' day, and have lunch with Mary Ann. Since there was a lot of time in between, I changed clothes at Raintree, ran an old course on West Campus, and went back to Raintree to change clothes and donate books before lunch.

It took me about 9 seconds longer this time, but I couldn't see the map. My contact was driving me crazy while driving, so I took it out, and didn't bother with bringing my compass, which was ok, except that it has my magnifier. Anyway, weather was beautiful and it was fun. I also wanted to see how my new Surge is with splits, and that worked.
6 PM

Yoga 1:25:00 [0]

Restorative yoga.

Dog Walking 42:59 [3] 2.24 mi (19:11 / mi) +30m 18:25 / mi

Watkins Mill. Kept up a good pace, lost a couple of minutes on two water stops, and a petting stop.

Bob got me a Fitbit Surge for my birthday. Unfortunately, the first one was defective--it wouldn't toggle. They replaced it, including postage, for free, and now I'm learning to use the features. Lots of fun.
