9Round 32:00 [5]

I thought this was tough today, and had to stop and catch my breath a couple of times, but it may have been getting over my virus or the steroids I'm taking. Lots of Burpees.

Since I missed my orienteering practice on Wednesday, and still really need to practice, I went to Lake Jacomo and did my long course for later this month. I figured this might be the nicest day between now and then. And good that I went. I had a little trouble finding the right rock on the first control, but it was good when I did more precision work. I did find two problems--my flagging was missing at the pit--fortunately, I had carried flagging and a marker with me. And one control was not in the correct place on the map. I fixed that when I got home. The terrain has pretty easy navigation, so it is all route choice. I had fun.

9Round 32:00 [5]
ahr:119 max:134 shoes: Skechers GoFit

My first time back at 9Round since Saturday. And a tough workout to boot. I really did some heavy breathing, which helps to keep my lungs clear, and I felt good, too. Managed to sleep about five hours last night since I was still itchy, but that was probably about as much as the previous two nights put together.

Note
(sick)

Another day with no working out. I (and Bob, poor guy) had very little sleep last night, because I was still painfully itchy and covered in big red welts everywhere. I saw my doctor today, got a steroid shot and a prescription, and they took a flu test (unlikely) and several blood samples. Apparently, some viruses attack the liver and cause hive reactions. We shall see. I just want to get some sleep.

Note
(sick)

Not sure if I'm injured or sick. Yesterday my left shoulder hurt a lot. Then last night, I was feeling really bad, had a fever, and went to bed early. I was kind of sore all over. This morning, no fever, and my shoulder is better. Then I started breaking out like a hive reaction, and I'm itchy with red splotches every where. But the only thing I had Tuesday was two Aleve, and I had no medication today. I don't know what started this, but I hate to stop a hive reaction and challenge an allergic reaction when I might be sick.

A bad day to be sick. Good weather, and I had planned to go to Bluffwoods to vet. I missed out. The only good thing was that last night, the contact that stuck in my eye the first day of Georgia, finally came out. I'm thinking tomorrow will be better.

Note
(injured)

My left scalpula is painful this morning, and I didn't do anything yesterday, so it must have been injured in my sleep. I took an Aleve, and will skip 9Round today.

Note
(injured)

My back is still really hurting, and the Aleve was not that helpful. I had to go to Excelsior Springs, so Elray and I stopped at Watkins Mill on the way back, because I wanted to see if the eagle was still there. We went back and forth on the dam, and this morning two eagles were standing on ice floes out on the lake. It was really cold on the dam, because of the wind, so we only stayed out about 20 minutes, and I let Elray do lots of sniffing. Great to see our local eagles.

Yoga 1:15:00 [0]

Restorative. A little different tonight--Leah got caught up in a traffic accident on the way, and was late. Kendy substituted the first 20 minutes, and she had never attended the class before. I really focused on breathing.

A really fun morning at an OK event at Woodridge. Thanks, Maprunner. I didn't make any really stupid mistakes today, so it was a good day. I had a bit of a problem with control 2. I didn't see it going in from the south, and had to go around and come back in from the north. Also, on 4, I was a bit north and had to go south. Otherwise, I read the map pretty well. A few route choices could have been better. A little congested, every time I tried to jog a little, I got out of breath quickly, but the brain was working well.

I tried downloading my gps track into routegadget, and was not successful. I will work on this some more later.
