Another toughie. I only had to stop and wall sit once today, however.

Dog Walking 10:43 [1] 0.65 km (16:29 / km) +3m 16:07 / km

No school, no cars parked at the skate park. It was really cold, so we just walked to the first bench and back.

9Round 32:00 [5]

A toughie. I had to stop and wall sit a couple of times to get my heart rate down. Usually, I would have kept going, but I'm still being a bit wimpy from being sick.

Dog Walking 10:45 [1] 75.0 km (9 / km)

After recycling, we went across the street to do the Riverfront Trail, but the high school kids had filled up the parking lot, including lots of areas that weren't really parking. No where to go, so we went to Mack Porter and did the forest loop. It had been 35 degrees and pleasant when I took her out early this morning, but by walk time, it was 30 with a very brisk north wind. The good thing about the cold (only good thing) is that we see no one else on the trails.

Note
(rest day)

Since I had two doctor appointments today, I skipped the sweat session. The first was a follow-up from my hives last week. The good news is that I don't have hepatitis. The bad news is that no one knows why I got hives. I had to have another blood test to recheck my liver function--everything else is good. Then I met Bob for brunch, and went for my annual skin check with the dermatologist. She said everything looks good, and come back next year. She also said if I get hives again, she would like to see it.

I'm glad my doctor stuff is over. Now on to more fun and interesting stuff.

Workout 1:00:00 [3]
ahr:80 max:112 shoes: GORUN5

I missed last week's workout with my trainer. Tonight was not aerobic, but I lifted some pretty heavy weights, and did a lot of balance.

Lots of weights made my shoulders whine.

Really cold. The woodsy loop at Mack Porter Park. Bob took Elray there last night, and Elray and one smaller dog are the only tracks in the snow.

Since my immune system is taking a hit, when I started feeling a bit light-headed, I skipped the CHOW at Round 6, and did a different sequence. I did manage to finish everything else. Then when I got home, I actually rested a bit. Don't usually do this during the day.

Now for the good news. After many years of serious hay fever, my sinuses are pretty trashed, and Bob almost always has a better nose. The last couple of days, however, I have been picking up subtle scents, pleasant and unpleasant, that he hasn't noticed. Its good to have a sense gain sensitivity.

Don't think this really qualifies as training, but when you have a dog, you have to sacrifice. We went to Mack Porter, and it was cold, windy, and snowing. We went clockwise on the forest loop, so we would have the open area and face into the wind on the way out. I was really cold when we finished. Fortunately, Bob had Elray and the ballfield, off-leash, yesterday, and wore her out.
